Snow, Snow And More Snow!

It definitely seems to be feast or famine where the snow is concerned. There will be a big break and then suddenly, the skies open up again. Well, it is winter after all!

This was the weather this morning. Can you see how large the snow flakes are? The temperature is definitely warming up! No complaints here!

But I think it's safe to say that we are all ready for spring!

The snow just kind of hangs there for a bit...

...and then just like that, it's gone!

Well, it's not exactly gone! We know exactly where it is!! It takes the North side just a bit longer to come down but it usually follows within an hour or so.

After multiple snow falls, the drift is almost as high as the porch railing.

To give you some perspective, here is that same corner in fairer weather.

But lots of snow also means building forts and if your big brother is willing to help out, all the better.

All that work and jackets start coming off! It's warming up!!

When another storm blows through, you might have to dig the fort out though. And the shovels and crates!

These guys don't mind the snow at all! They are happy to be out of the barn to go for a walk!

It is so beautiful though!!

Even if it is a lot of work! Thankfully, there are other things to do besides shovel snow!

There are books to read...

...naps to take...

...snacks to make (can you say growth spurt?)...

...warm drinks to enjoy...

...selfies to take...

...daddies to snuggle...

...cookies to bake...

...cakes to ice...

...more naps to take...

 ...dough to rise...

...buns to bake...

...curds to cut...

...curds to stretch...

...and stretch...

...and STRETCH...

...yummy cheese to eat...

...smoothies to drink...

...dishes to wash...

...adventures to pack for...

...more selfies to take...

...and oh, did I mention naps to take?

We may have been snowed in for a lot of this winter but we have still managed to find fun and enjoyment inside where it's warm and dry.  After shoveling the snow, of course!

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.

Psalm 107:1
