And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  And these words, which I command thee this day shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when though walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up, and though shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house and on thy gates.  Deuteronomy 6:5-9

My Grandma had a small framed picture in her bathroom that was there for as long as I can remember.  It said `Love Never Fails`. Such a simple way to send a big message. It`s probably from there that I can trace my love of being surrounded by the truth`s of God`s Word in my house.

I've packed away a lot of our plaques into storage for now but I kept my favourites out. The ones I need to see. Every day.  Even though our space is small, we believe that Deuteronomy 6:9 and 11:20 are still our duty to our children. I wonder why it's in there twice? :-) Hopefully, by seeing these truths regularly, they will be hidden in the hearts of our children into their adult lives.  Like my Grandma's did for me. My Grandma is with the Lord now.  It will be 5 years in January.  Her legacy lives on to me and through me, to our children, through the simple way she chose to write God's Word on the posts of her house.

These aren't necessarily biblical but they teach a truth, nonetheless.

And this one was just too cute to put away.  Look at us!! Weren't we cute?? :-)
