Some Much Appreciated R&R

Do you remember me saying a while ago how tired we were and how much we needed to rest? Well the Lord answered in an unexpected way. That way was through our Anniversary and a very special gift we received. 

The gift? Some time away at a resort on the lake.

We are also celebrating the fact that we have lived in the mobile for six months now. Well, maybe "celebrating" isn't the best word. More like "observing" that the nine of us have been living together.

For six months. 

In 900 sq ft.

With one bathroom.

But I digress.

We enjoyed this fabulous view from the balcony.

Oh yes, I could get used to this. For a little while, of course.

Not too long though. I'm one of those "crazies" that loves being with my children. Yes, even in 900 sq feet.

We believe though, that it's very good for them to know that Phil and I still love each other very much,

and that it's actually good for them, to see us take time for each other.

Here we are.....

 ....... 21 years ago.

And here we are today.

 Like really today, like this afternoon.

We're  a little more wrinkled and a lot more grey but so very thankful for the years the Lord has given us together. And because we put our trust in the Lord, we can face tomorrow, whatever it holds. Continuing to grow in His Grace. Continuing to learn more about what love means each day. Striving to be more intentional in the way we live.

Not perfect.

Just more like Him.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
